HOW SCORING WORKS

Draft the drama Survivor rules. Other shows get their own sheet.

Two Ways to Play

Old school. Draft the cast and sweat it out. No points, no maths. Whoever owns the last castaway standing wins the whole thing.

Points. Everything below. Your castaways earn points every week and the highest total at the finale takes it.

Your commissioner picks one when they set the league up. The rest of this page is the points version.

The Short Version

Draft castaways. They earn you points by doing things on the show. Call the winner early and stick with it. Most points at the finale takes it.

FantasyTV scores each episode once, the same for everybody. Your commissioner decides which categories count in your league and what each one is worth, so the numbers below are the starting point, not the law.

Challenges

On a tribe that wins immunity3
Wins individual immunity2
Wins the fire making challenge at final four2
On a tribe or group that wins reward2
Wins individual reward. Anyone they take along scores too1
Wins a journey challenge1
On the tribe that wins the marooning1
Wins the supply challenge, and everyone on their tribe1

After the merge, a temporary group counts as a tribe.

Camp Life

The stuff that fills the first fifteen minutes of an episode. Each of these pays once per castaway per episode, no matter how many times it happens.

Reads tree mail out loud1
Talks strategy at the water well1
Makes fire at camp, or helps make it1
Finds food. Fish, crab, coconuts, fruit, bugs, whatever1
Goes to exile1
Goes on a journey1
Shows up at the auction1
Gets love from home. Visit, letter, or video1

Idols and Advantages

Plays an idol or an advantage. Extra vote, steal a vote, knowledge is power, all of it2
First to get an idol1
First to get an advantage. Idols do not count twice here1
Finds the clue that starts the hunt1
Plays their shot in the dark at tribal1

Milestones

Makes the merge. Once a season2

Calling the Winner

Before each episode you name who you think wins the season. You can change it whenever you want, and nobody sees your pick but you.

Here's the catch. You score 1 point for every episode in a row you had the real winner, counted backward from the finale. The second you switch off them, the run stops and everything before it is gone.

What That Looks Like

Say the season runs 13 episodes and Maria picks Jelly from the start. At episode 9 she gets nervous and switches to Brady. Brady goes home in episode 10, so she switches back to Jelly for 11, 12 and 13. Jelly wins.

Maria scores 3, not 13. Her run only goes back as far as episode 11, because episodes 9 and 10 broke it. Had she left it alone, she'd have had all 13.

Nerve is the whole game here. Pick early, and live with it.

Ties

If two teams finish level, in this order:

Still level after that, it stays a tie. Share the trophy.

The Fine Print

We score the episodes here, once, and every league works off the same sheet. That way nobody is arguing about whether a coconut counted.

Your commissioner controls what those results are worth in your league. They can drop categories, change values, or add their own.

Only what airs counts. Not previews, not deleted scenes, not what somebody posted afterward. If it wasn't in the episode, it didn't happen.

Survivor does things nobody planned for. New twists, weird edits, an advantage that doesn't fit any box here. When that happens the commissioner makes a call in the spirit of the rules and everyone lives with it.

Once an episode is scored it stays scored, unless something was plainly missed or entered wrong.

Rules can change between seasons as the show changes.
